Workshops

Our STEAM Workshops for girls aged 6 to 12 offer an immersive and dynamic learning experience encompassing Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics. We recognize the critical importance of exposing young girls to STEAM concepts early on, fostering curiosity and a passion for exploration. Through engaging experiments, recycling initiatives, and design-focused activities, our workshops aim to inspire creativity while building a solid foundation in scientific and technological understanding.

The need for girls to be well-versed in STEAM is paramount as these fields shape the future. Our workshops utilize exciting and practical methods to make learning enjoyable and memorable, encouraging girls to perceive STEAM as accessible and enjoyable. We emphasize the practical applications of STEAM in diverse careers, such as food science and fashion, where daily challenges require a blend of technical know-how and creative problem-solving. Introducing design principles at a young age is crucial, as it not only enhances their aesthetic sensibilities but also cultivates a mindset of innovation and critical thinking, essential for success in STEAM-related professions. We are dedicated to empowering girls with the skills and confidence to navigate these exciting fields and make meaningful contributions to our ever-evolving world.

Upcycled Fashion Design:
We teach girls about the principles of fashion design using recycled materials. Participants create their own unique clothing pieces using items like old t-shirts, denim, and accessories.

Eco-Friendly Toy Engineering:
We explore basic engineering principles by designing and building eco-friendly toys using recycled materials. This workshop encourages creativity and problem-solving skills.

Recycled Jewelry Making:
We introduce basic principles of design through jewelry making using recycled materials. Girls create their own unique jewelry pieces while learning about color, symmetry, and patterns.

Green Science Experiments:
We conduct science experiments that highlight environmental concepts and use readily available recycled materials. This workshop emphasizes the scientific method and critical thinking.

Edible Chemistry Lab:
We transform the kitchen into a science lab where girls explore chemical reactions by creating edible experiments. For example, demonstrate the science behind baking soda and vinegar reactions in cupcakes or cookies.

DIY Healthy Snacks:
We encourage creativity by having the girls design and prepare their own healthy snacks. This could include making fruit kabobs, yogurt parfaits, or vegetable wraps, while discussing the nutritional benefits of each ingredient.

Food Photography and Styling:
This workshop combines the culinary arts with visual arts and teaches girls how to style and photograph their creations. We discuss the importance of presentation and aesthetics in the culinary world.
